ANOTHER NEWMAN FAMILY FAREWELL

Our family paid its respects and said its goodbyes to a matriarch of the Newman Family, Doris Lucinda Mae (Newman) Humber.

Doris Humber HUMBER, Doris Lucinda Mae (Newman) 83 years on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at Leamington District Memorial Hospital. Late of Erie Glen Manor in Leamington. Beloved wife of the late Edsel (1998). Loving mother of Karen and her husband Allan Batke of Kingsville, Richard and his wife Penny of Leamington, Wayne and his wife Brenda of Kingsville, and Paul and his wife Peggy of Port Robinson. Dear grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also survived by a sister Helen Judge of London and a brother Percy Newman of Essex. Predeceased by a sister Jean Liebrock and brothers Joe and Hugh Newman. Visiting at the Hammond Funeral Home, 318 Erie Street South, Leamington (519-326-8423) on Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. A complete Funeral Service from the funeral home on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Philip Newman officiating. Interment Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Leamington. Memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society. Published in the Windsor Star on 1/9/2007.

Aaron Newman and Sarah Rose are pleased to announce the arrival of Madilyn on November 10th, 2006. Madilyn was born in Edmonton, Alberta and is doing well. Grampa Phil travelled to meet his first grand-child in early December. All are doing well. Grampa enjoyed holding Madilyn and did not want to leave.

Welcoming into this world on June 13/06 the arrival of our baby boy, Decklin Lawrence Palmer. He weighed 9 pounds 4 ounces! 2 pounds heavier than Tannis was and I only put on 20 pounds to start with...NICE! We arrived at the hospital at 1:15am and he was born at 2:36am another reason to give thanks for good genes! We are doing well and Tannis is being a great big sister. -- Cathy 

2006 Newman Family Reunion - Sunday, June 25

The upcoming Newman Family Reunion will be held at the home of Nick and Pat Jewell located at 7 Donald Avenue, Leamington, Ontario N8H 4J4 (519) 326-7401 on Sunday June 25th. Feel free to arrive any time after 12 noon and stay as long as you like.

This year the main course will be provided from KFC, but we will all still bring finger foods, snacks and desserts. Beverages provided. We plan to eat at 2:00 p.m.

Hopefully, we will snap a family photo again this year just before we eat.

2006 REUNION NOTICE

It was decided at our business meeting this year to make a few changes for the next reunion in 2006. Instead of BBQing we will order in Kentucky Fried Chicken. We will continue to bring side dishes, finger food and desserts for the "pot luck" table. Beverages will be provided. Directions to Nick and Pat's will be posted at a later date. Remember to reserve Sunday June 25th on your 2006 calendar, now!

2005 NEWMAN FAMILY REUNION PICTURES

Well friends, the reunion was a success again! Our hosts Andre and Shirley were most gracious with their hospitality. Approximately 45 persons attended. It was a hot day with lots of sun. There was plenty of food to go around, lots of conversation and games for the young and the young at heart. Plan to attend next year's reunion to be held at the home of Nick and Pat Jewel in Leamington.
