Newman Family

On January 31, 2005 this blog was launched in order to help the descendents of Albert and Lulu Newman stay connected by sharing news and pictures, births and deaths, special events and adventures, thus reflecting the changing nature of our dynamic family. Let's get to know each other! The Newman Family gathers annually on the Sunday after Father's Day. In 2007 we meet from noon until whenever we have to leave on Sunday June 24th at the home of Nick and Pat Jewell, Leamington, Ontario.

Newman Family Bids Farewell to Senior Matriarch, Jean Liebrock

LIEBROCK, Jean Kathleen (Newman) 91 years, went to her reward on Saturday, March 5, 2005, at Leamington District Memorial Hospital. Survived by children Floyd (Wyona), Shirley Smith Aerts (Andre), daughter-in-law Karen; grandchildren Dave (Morria), Janice (Mario), and their mother Marjorie; Jim (Pat), Sherry (Alan), Rob (Chris), Carol (Tim), Cathy (Cory), Debra, Michael; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; and other extended family members. Brothers and sisters, Joe, Helen Judge (Winton), Percy, Doris Humber. Predeceased by husband Perry (1991), son Larry (2003), son-in-law Keith Smith (1980), brother Hugh (1997), grandson Mark (1992), Edna Beddard (1993), father Albert (1972), and mother Lulu (1973). Through the years she was active in the Windfall Community, Women's Institute, Rebekah Lodge, Wheatley and District Friendship Club where she did crafts, quilting, and played many games of cards, the Busy Bees and the Wheatley United Church. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street, Leamington, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and Monday March 7, 2005, from 1 p.m. until time of the Funeral Service to celebrate Jean's life, at 2 p.m. Rev. Philip Newman officiating. Interment Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Leamington. Jean (Newman) Liebrock Passes

A beloved member of the Newman family circle has passed away. After a brief stay in Leamington Hospital, Jean Liebrock died on Saturday, March 5th, 2005. Jean lived an interested and adventurous 91 years. The condolences of our entire family go out to Jean's family. She was well loved and will be greatly missed. Her life will be celebrated from Reid's Funeral Home 14 Russell Street , Leamington, Ontario (519-326-2631) on Monday, March 7th at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and again from 1-2 pm on Monday.
